We’re here to demystify any uncertainty so you can find your most flattering Revealer shade and turn on your best skin. OK — let’s start with skin tone vs undertone. You have your skin tone (ex. light, medium, deep), then you have your undertone, which is just the base color that sits underneath (cool, warm, olive, or neutral). Skin tone can change with the seasons (ex: summer tan), but undertones always stay the same. Think of them as the base shades of your complexion that kinda set the mood for your makeup.
Undertones are obviously more subtle than skin tone but when you get them not-quite-right, you’ll know (cue the “ehh, maybe not my best color” moment). And when you get them oh-so-right, you’ll look like your natural glow was just switched on by some mystical force.
So how do you find out if you’re cool, warm, olive, or neutral? There are actually a few easy ways:
COOL TONED
If you tend to burn in the sun, look best in silver jewelry, and the veins on the inside of your wrist are blue/pink/reddish, you’re probably cool.

WARM TONED
